Been coming here for 4 years and have really loved it. When i first moved to the area, the prices were great and lowest in the area. However i noticed in the last year or so they continue to up the price of everything and specifically the rotisserie chicken. it used to be $7.99 and now it’s $11.50 depending on the day. So dissapointing. Editing as of a week after my original review, prices went up again!

Way more expensive than wholefoods and Morton Williams. Its actually the most expensive supermarket is the hells kitchen neighborhood and I’ve been to them all in the 15 yrs living in this neighborhood. As far as customer service and security, I don’t have a problem with. I understand they’re just doing their jobs. Sometimes statistics make certain policies seem harsh but its good to be cautious given the crimes committed around the clock in NYC. I don’t feel intimidated because I have nothing to hide.

One of my favorite grocery stores in the area - clean, well stocked and very reasonable prices given the location. Also, in the rare event I arrive shortly before closing hours (sorry, sometimes it happens), nobody ever gives me wry faces or chases me out. Quite the opposite, I've only dealt with polite and patient, laid back staff. Thank you.
